Victoria Waterfield Life and Companionship
Victoria had the pleasure of meeting the doctor in 1866 AD, when her father, a scientist, mistakenly linked up with the Daleks when he experimented with time travel using mirrors and electricity. The Daleks used the link to kidnap Victoria and took her hostage on their home planet named Skaro. Victoria decided to travel with the 2nd Doctor in the Tardis when he made her a promise to look after her and after her father died by the hands of the Daleks.
Victoria traveled with the Doctor from episode The Evil of the Daleks to Fury from the Deep.
Jamie McCrimmon was her co-companion with the Doctor and he was very protective of her. After many travels with the Doctor and seeing the Cyber tombs of Telos and having two terrifying times with the Yeti, she decided that she needed a more quite and more "normal" life. So when she was offered a normal quite life in the 1960's, she took it.

Victoria Waterfield was played by actress Deborah Watling. Her father was also in Doctor Who and played in two episodes. He played in The Web of Fear and was the character "Travers" in The Abominable Snowmen.
