7th Doctor : Sylvester McCoy
(The 7th Doctor's Life, Companions, and Travels
The 7th Doctor looked much older than his previous form and moved much slower than most of his previous forms, except for maybe his original form, The First Doctor. Like the 2nd Doctor, the 7th used the act of acting a clown and foolishness to deceive and trick his enemies. But in reality, he was very cunning and smart and used deep intelligence and strategy to defeat his foes.
His closest and best friend was his rebellious and teenaged companion Ace. She refused to call him the "Doctor", but instead called him "Professor" because he was always teaching her things through out their time together. He was wiry, off-the-wall kind of character, and was also known to spat out mangled proverbs from time to time.
In one adventure, The Doctor showed that there was still a little bit of dark left in him; when he tricked Davros into destroying the Dalek home world, Skaro. Still without his sonic screwdriver, he showed his powerful mind, much like the 3rd Doctor did, by grabbing different pieces of metal and technology and making whatever he needed for the moment.
The 7th Doctor traveled many years, both with and without companions, but his time came to an end when he landed in the time "May, 1996" in San Francisco, USA. It was there, that his longest lasting companion, the Tardis, dropped him off in the middle of a gang war, where he was brutally shot several times and then almost died on the operation table before his regenerational powers took over.
His Trade Mark(s)
The 7th Doctor had two, one was what he wore :

Aliens, Bad Guys, and Monsters :
The 7th Doctor, though older and slower in the physical than most of his earlier forms, his mind was just as cunning and quick as ever; some would even dare to say, darker than ever too. His heart was still in the business of help those around him and because of that he and his companions would find themselves fighting alot of badies. During the 7tb Doctor's era, the Doctor battled 16 aliens/bad guys/monsters.

The Man, The Myth, The Legend
Sylvester McCoy was the man who played the 7th Doctor. He was born in 1943. Sylvester McCoy is his stage name as Sylvester McCoy's real name is James Kent-Smith. James/Sylvester got his start in acting by selling tickets at a theatre known to all as the Roundhouse Theatre. He worked there until he met a man by the name of Ken Campbell. Ken Campbell went on to change McCoy's life by giving him the role of Sylvester McCoy in his show called The Ken Campbell Roadshow.
McCoy played in The Ken Campbell Show, the kid TV show Vision On, TV show Doctor Who, The TV Movie Doctor Who (with the 8th Doctor), the theatre play The Pied Piper (which got him the role of the Doctor), and recently starred in The Hobbit, as the brown wizard, Radagast.
How long he reigned as the Doctor is up for debate. Some fans say that his era ended with the episode Survival in 1989; others say his reign continued in book form and then finally ended with his regeneration in the 1996 movie. If his era continued until 1996, that would make McCoy the longest lasting actor to play the Doctor. A total of 9 years.
