Katarina
Katarina's Life and Companionship
Katarina only traveled a very short time with the 1st Doctor. She was a temple handmaiden for Cassandra in the ancient city of Troy from the time 1184 BC. She was a believer and worshiper of Zeus and the other Greek gods. When she meets the Doctor and enters into the Tardis and saw that it was bigger on the inside, she instantly believed the Doctor to be Zeus. Because she had no concept of technology, she believed that the Tardis was the Doctor's (Zeus') celestial temple.
She was always seeking peace and felt that she would soon die. After meeting the doctor and talking with him, he soon realized that she thought that he would be taking her to the Place of Perfection to find her peace. She traveled with the Doctor from episodes The Myth Makers until The Daleks' Master Plan. She traveled with the Doctor and co-companion Steven Taylor.
After her heroic and tragic death, the Doctor hoped that Katarina did find the Place of Perfection in her afterlife and that she had finally found her peace.
