6th Doctor : Colin Baker
The 6th Doctor's Life, Companions, and Travels
The Sixth Doctor was larger than life in every way. He was stubborn, brash, self-centered, self-confident to the point of arrogance, and with a loud manner and even louder fashion sense, he was very difficult for fans to like at first. He also rarely seemed to think that anyone else could have a useful/helpful thought or opinion besides himself.
Although his regeneration was altered by a poison in his system which made him somewhat "mad" at first, he was still the Doctor that we all knew and loved. At times we were able to get glimpses and a few peeks here and there, though out his era of being the doctor, of his softer and more sane self. He still had a dedication to fight evil and corruption, because he still had his deep sense of "doing right", justice, standing up for the oppressed and weak, and a strong passion to see injustices fixed.
Notedly, as his time as the Doctor went on, his body was able to fix the problems he had with his regeneration and we were able to see his softer demeanor and more caring self for others and for justice. These characteristics was seem the best during his own trail with the Time Lords. It was there where the Doctor and we (the fans), saw how corrupt and how rotten to the core, his own people had become.
However, facing a darker version of himself as an evil valeyard, wasn't the only time he had to help himself. One note-able time, was when he had to time travel to save his 2nd Doctor regeneration self from the Sontarans and Androgums, when the 2nd Doctor was kidnapped by them.
One thing this Doctor is also known for that no other doctor regeneration has yet to do, was trying to fix the Chameleon Circuit of the TARDIS.

Colin Baker, not to be confused with the 4th Doctor, Tom Baker was the man who played the 6th Doctor. Colin Baker and Tom Baker are not related and their last names just so happened to be the same. Colin Baker was not only the Doctor in Doctor Who, but also had the honor of being in Doctor Who as someone else before he became the Doctor. His character before becoming the 6th Doctor was Guard Commander Maxil. He played Maxil during the 5th Doctor's era in the story arc titled: Arc of Infinity. He is only one of two actors who has ever played the Doctor and was another character on Doctor Who. The other is Peter Capaldi who played the 12th Doctor (13th regeneration).
Colin was born in 1943 and was well known as a television actor since the 1970's. Besides playing the Doctor on Doctor Who, Colin Baker is also well know for two other roles he played on television.
1. Paul Merroney from the tv show: The Brothers
2. Bayban the Butcher from the tv show: Blake's 7
Both of those roles were the villains of the show.
Colin Baker is still currently alive and was last seen connected to Doctor Who during the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who, in a spin off joke episode that he, Davison, McCoy, and Tennant wrote and starred in.
