Ice Warriors
The Ice Warriors were a race of reptilian humanoids that originated from the planet Mars. It has recently been discovered that they are cyborgs created by the Gandorans.
Biology
Adult Ice Warriors who were fully armoured were large and imposing, sometimes up to seven feet tall. Without their armour, they had flattened, scaly faces with sharp fangs and thin green tongues.
Their skeletons were similar to humans although they had flatter skulls and wider eye sockets. Females were slighter than males and had spiny dorsal crests.
Ice Warriors preferred cold climates and could be killed by extreme heat. They often wheezed and moved slowly due to differences in atmospheres and gravity.
The typical lifespan of an Ice Warrior was three hundred Earth years. They had a complicate genetic structure and were herbivores.
Society and Culture
Ice Warriors had a strong sense of personal honour. They disliked lying though they did often lie when necessary.
Many of the Ice Warriors worshipped the Osirians Oras and Claatris. They also worshipped Tuburr.
Ice Warriors lived in clans and had a hereditary caste system. Advancement in the hierarchy was decided on merit and skill. Cooking was a highly prized skill.
They had a great pride in beauty and aesthetics above everything else except for things related to war. They were not known for their sense of humour but their humour was occasionally elusive to humans and most of it was lost in translation.
Armour
Ice Warriors wore some form of “bio-armour” that matched their skin. This included a half-face helmet with a red blast screen over each eye. Nobility wore sleek armour while common warriors had heavier and bulkier armour.
It was often said that Ice Warriors were one with their armour. It consisted of carapaces and helmets grown from nutrient tanks and cybernetic ally augmented to provide the wearer with increased strength, reaction time, spectral sensitivity and biological efficiency. It was tough enough to protect them from the swing of an axe and be controlled with sonic technology.
By the late 26th century, some sectors of Ice Warriors went through cybernetic alteration to all them to connect their brains directly to their nervous systems.
Technology
Apart from their armour, Ice Warriors used a variety of weapons. Most had small sonic weapons in the wrist of their armour for personal defence. They preferred larger rifles and sonic portable artillery. They also used sonic grenades.
The Ice Warriors were also capable of terraforming entire planets to suit their needs. They could deploy seeds on a planet which altered the environment and made it an icy world.
